Jacy Lewis
Since starting dance training at the age of three and going on to study acting at the University of Southern Queensland from which she graduated in 1995, Jacy has become an experienced and versatile performer. Her Brisbane stage credits include The Surgical Table for Renegade Theatre Co, 1347 for Matrix Theatre Company, The Rocky Horror Show for On The Boards Theatre Company, and A Brave New World Order (at the Powerhouse 2002 and 2003) for Diane Gough Productions - a role which earned her a Perform Magazine nomination for Best Actor in a Musical.
On the Gold Coast, Jacy has entertained audiences in a wide range of productions including her portrayal of Cassie (opposite Peter Cousens' Zac) in A Chorus Line for Lane Theatre Ensemble, as Narrator in Our Town for GCLT, and as Roxy for GCLT's production of Chicago - for which she won the GCLT Dolphin Award for Best Actress of 2001. More recently Jacy appeared in Timeless for Tom McSweeney's Emerging Artists. She is also an accomplished choreographer and until recently held the position of Senior Choreographer for Warner Bros Movie World, where she currently works as a singer, dancer, actor and superhero.
On screen Jacy has appeared in many productions, including several tv commercials and many independent feature and short films. Her television credits include Getaway and Totally Wild, while her big screen debut was in Inspector Gadget 2, playing a reporter. Most recently Jacy appeared as a hideous Harpy in the NBC telemovie Hercules. Her next screen role will be an Assistant FBI agent in the movie The Condemned currently shooting on the Coast.
In 2004, Jacy was named as a Top 5 finalist for IAAPA'S International Big E Award of Best Female Performer for her work at Movie World.
