Spencer McLaren

With over 15 years industry experience, Spencer has worked extensively in Australia and Europe, including over three years as Richie in Channel 10's The Secret Life of Us. He also appeared on Blue Heelers, Home & Away, Family Affairs (UK), and Green Wing II (UK), as well as other tv dramas including The Damnation of Harvey McHugh and The Lost World.

A graduate of NIDA, as well as having taught for them, his stage credits include the starring role in Footloose - The Musical (Best Actor nomination), 'The Beast' in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, he created the role of Lindbergh for Broadway composers Maltby and Shire in the world premiere of Take Flight, has toured nationally with Cats (Munkustrap), Carousel (Billy Bigelow - West End), West Side Story (understudy - Tony), Bye Bye Birdie (Conrad Birdie), Closer Than Ever, Songs for a New World, Julius Caesar (Brutus), Henry IV (Hotspur), 12 Angry Men (4), Glengarry Glen Ross (Williamson), Being Friends, and A Chaste Maid in Cheapside (Touchwood).

Spencer also worked on the 2005 BBC Radio 4 series of Dr Who. He is currently appearing in the stage musical version of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, in Melbourne.
